Alana Germany...
...has been involved with Youth Radio since 2006 has written stories for both national and local outlets, as well as launched Youth Radio¹s What¹s the New What series on NPR¹s day to day. She is currently attending USC with hopes to pursue a communications major.
Jamilah King...
...is Wiretap's associate editor. Born and raised in San Francisco, her writing focuses on race, politics, music and issues affecting young communities of color. She's worked as an organizer in New York City and San Francisco. An avid sports fan, she believes that the Warriors will win a championship -- one day. She received degrees in English and Black Studies from Pitzer College in 2007 and is a graduate of the Movement Activist Apprenticeship Program (MAAP). In addition to Wiretap, she also writes poetry and short stories. Her writing has also appeared in Pop and Politics, The Nation online and the San Francisco Bay Guardian.
Gary Moskowitz …
…is a senior online fellow at Mother Jones. He has written for the San Francisco Chronicle, WireTap, and Oh Dang! He is a former podcast host for Pop and Politics and a former Los Angeles Times community news reporter.
Denise Tejada...
...is a graduate of Youth Radio's class of 2003. At 19, she's a production assistant in the newsroom, helping students develop stories for both our National and Local outlets. Denise is also helping produce much of the immigration coverage for Youth Radio.
